Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs May Release Blog Hop! We have some beautiful images & fabulous dies for you this month, so get comfy & prepare to be amazed!
After stamping, coloring & over stamping this lovely Hatstand image, I die cut it using the new Pierced Ovals dies & matted it w/ pink polka dot paper (from the Shabby Rose paper collection) die cut w/ the largest Oval die. Behind them I added a slightly altered Doily die cut. Normally it is round, but I split it in two & spread it apart then added an extra, separate piece of one section of another doily die cut on top & bottom to fill in. On the background, I stamped the birdcage w/ the gray flannel ink & die cut it w/ the matching die. After I cut down this piece, I added a smaller piece of the blue paper on top & a die cut border covering the join. The die cut birdcage was put back into the same opening where I cut it out & I added the frame left from die cutting the largest Lavish Layer on top. This frame was also cut w/ the largest Pierced Rectangle die. The greeting was die cut using one of the Mini Tags…I just cut it once, then turned the die around & cut again to remove the hole part. A small bow was added underneath and a trio of Bitty Blossoms added in the lower right corner. A little stickles was added to the flowers on the hat & I used a pearl pen to add the centers to the flowers & on the doily.
Here are the Copics I used.

On my second card, I’m featuring the fabulous Majestic Medallion die & Medallion Sentiments set. I started by stamping the frame w/ the pink ink & die cutting it using the inside die of the coordinating Flourishy Frame die. The flourishy part of this die was used on a piece of dk navy card stock & layered underneath the stamped pink section. I added a white layer die cut w/ the Quatrefoil Design die (it fits around the Flourishy Frame perfectly!) The large pastel pink layer was cut using the outside frame die of the Majestic Medallion dies & I used the flourishy part of the die to cut the navy topper. This navy layer was added on top of the Flourishy Frame layers then both attached to the pink layer. I had also cut this Majestic Medallion out of white & I added just a few of the inside pieces into the matching areas inside the navy layer.
The greeting was die cut w/ a pierced circle & inserted into the center of the navy frame. All the Bitty Blossoms & Pretty Posies were shaped a little before adding in the left corner.
Here’s a look at the inside. I used the Medallion Bg to stamp over the inside in pink, then masked off the center & stamped the edges in denim. A navy Micron pen was used to define the line between the two colors.

I love this sweet little Cowgirl image & she’s so fun to color. After I put her in my Misti, I stamped her w/ Memento, colored w/ Copics, then over stamped w/ Versafine. I did the same to the Boots & used the matching Boots die to cut them. I die cut a stitched rectangle w/ a stitched circle cut out opening for the cowgirl, then I used a curved border die to cut the bottom edge. I added a vintage pink layer behind it & did a little out of the box on her hat to place the layers on top of her. The greeting was added below the circle & the boots added on top. The little metal concho was originally a copper color & I added a rosy color to it w/ a Copic marker. It’s one I’ve had in my stash forever so I can’t even remember where I bought it.
