A big congrats to Kerry, the newest Featured Stamper (FS424) on Splitcoast! She has such a fun, colorful gallery and after much browsing, I kept coming back to THIS fun card. I kept the layout, balloons and fun birthday theme, but I since I didn’t have a balloon stamp like hers, I used die cuts & a punch for my balloons, used a greeting and added a layer.
Since my big balloons were die cuts & the small balloons are a punch, they don’t have lines like an image. So I die cut a large one & punched a small one and used the reverse masks as a frame to draw in my lines. Then I colored them and die cut/punched them. The layers were also die cut as well then I spritzed some shine spray on the top white layer. The Happy part of the greeting was die cut once out of the orange, once out of white and stacked, slightly off. I added some twine for the strings and a blue ribbon behind the Happy. The Birthday was stamped below the orange layer to finish it.
Here’s a look at the inside (above) and these are the Copics I used for the balloons. Apparently it takes a village of Copics to color in some little balloons, lol.
Congrats again, Kerry! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today’s Inspiration Challenge (IC485) has some beautiful objects! I was inspired many but for this card, I chose THIS. I like the soft teal blue & the diagonal design.
For my card, I stamped the large floral egg on white using soft pool ink then I stamped it again on the back side of the designer paper and cut it out to make the frame. I wove a diagonal lattice pattern across the back of the frame using strips of vellum. The smaller egg was stamped, die cut and attached on top. I added the corner die cuts and a greeting that I lightly sponged w/ the same ink while it was still in the die. A bunch of pearls were added to the lattice & small egg.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is for two challenges on Splitcoast today…MIX112 & QFTD254. For the QFTD, I chose THIS card of Lee Ann’s..I kept the layout & spring colors, but used flowers instead of butterflies & moved the greeting. for the MIX, I used dye inks to sponge the colors on my side panel, then I spritzed it w/ gold shine spray and I also heat embossed the flowers, greeting and splatter on the right side.
After sponging, spritzing and edging the left side panel w/ a gold leaf pen, I gold embossed a dragonfly on it. The larger white panel was die cut, the greeting & splatter were also gold embossed along w/ another dragonfly. The flowers were gold embossed, fussy cut, added on top & a crystal added in the center of each. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.
