Congrats to Bonnie (bon2stamp), the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast (FS312)! What a wonderful gallery she has! I spent quite a long time strolling her gallery and finally chose her Not Just for Valentines to case. I kept the layout and use of silhouette image, but I used different images, added some color and in place of the embossed background, I opted to use a leftover strip of card stock I made using dry wall mesh and white acrylic paint.  I made this ages ago for the TLC235 challenge…Painted Grid.

The images are from Our Daily Bread designs. I sponged the color on a piece of white card stock using a couple of Kaleidacolor ink pads, then stamped the Bird & Butterfly Label in one area and the Little Boy in another. I used a Spellbinders Labels 18 for the label and larger black layer and I hand cut the little boy and added him on top.

The strip of painted grid was added across the top layer of my 5.50 x 4.25 card, then a black layer before attaching to the card front.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Congrats again, Bonnie, and enjoy your week!

For today’s Technique Challenge on Splitcoast (TLC413), the focus is on the dies. I think I have just the CAS (clean & simple) card that will fit. Turns out the only heart dies I have are these huge solid and LaRue heart from Memory Box. They pretty much take up the whole card so they have to be the focus. I thought they went well w/ this cute Love You More greeting from DRS Designs. I added a couple of little hearts from the Interlocking Hearts Background beside it.  I colored and cut out just the bloom from the Single Rose and attached it in the upper left. I used a pair of mini scallop scissors across the bottom of the red panel and attached it to my 4.25 x 5.50 card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Congrats to Angela, the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast (FS311)! What a wonderful gallery she has! I chose her Have a Blast card to case. I kept the fun star theme and most of the colors, but used different images and turned mine into an angled trifold card.

The images are from DRS Designs. The little cowboy was colored w/ Copics and I used the Out of the Box Nestie technique to die cut it. It’s attached to a larger Labels 8 with the sentiment stamped on either side.

For the card, I took a 5.50 x 12 piece  of card stock (I actually used a piece of tag board because it comes in a 9 x 12 size) and scored it at the 4 and 8 inch marks. Then I cut an angle from left to right and attached a whole bunch of punched and die cut stars across the angled top. I attached some on both sides of the middle section since one side shows when open and the other side shows when closed. I also stamped the stars (before I attached them) with a background stamp called Material Maker Square. When you stamp it, turn the image 45 degrees or more, and stamp again,  I love how it resembles denim. I also used this same image around the card edge to make a border.

Congrats again, Angela! Enjoy your week! Thanks so much for stopping by!
