Today’s Free for All Challenge (F4A382) on Splitcoast is to make a masculine card. With Father’s Day this weekend, I think this would be a fun card for those golfer dads.
After I stamped & colored Golfer Duff, I figured out where the greeting looked best to me. Then I cut out a little golf ball & added it on topThe bg was stamped w/ the Lines image…I like how it adds just a little sumthin’ extra. For another sumthin’, I die cut the grid down the left side to let a little more of the rust color show through.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:

Stamps: DRS Designs  Golfer Duff, Ain’t Got That Swing, Golf, Lines O’Plenty (inside- Par-Fect Golf Birthday)
Paper: Staples 110# white, rust, kraft
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Distress ink rusty hinge
Accessories:  Copic markers, Misti, Spellbinders A2 matting basics A & B dies, IO grid die

Today’s Color Challenge (CC637) on Splitcoast, is wasabi, sugarplum & daffodil. The green & pink are obvious but I only used a little yellow for her hair.

For the green background, I put the die cut panel into my Misti and stamped it first w/ the bamboo ink then shifted it slightly & stamped again w/ the white pigment ink to get that shadow effect. The golf lady was stamped, colored, fussy cut & I wrote Retired on her license plate. Part of the background stamp was used for the greeting below her.

Today’s Ways to Use It Challenge (WT372) is to make a monochromatic card (neutrals are ok to add). This card is almost entirely neutrally monochromatic ( just a tiny pop of orange) so I think it will fit right in.  The images are from DRS Designs.

For my card, I used a variation of a technique I call “into the window”. It’s sort of a reverse out of the box. I made the window by resizing a Spellbinders long rectangle die to make it just a tad longer. The sentiment was stamped on top of the white frame and my cut out little fisherman was added as well. The scene behind it was stamped on kraft using a combination of the chalk inks, going light to dark, top to bottom.  The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.

If you would like to enter to win some free DRS images, please check out the DRS Thursday Challenge. It’s easy and DRS images are not required to win.
