A big Congrats to Linda, the newest Featured Stamper (FS527) on Splitcoast! After strolling thru her sweet gallery, I chose THIS to case. I kept the CAS design & sponging, but used different colors, different images & made mine a Christmas card.
I had the white piece already die cut so I used some Distress inks to sponge in some pink/reds from the upper left & some lime greens from the lower right. The pine bough was stamped a couple of times w/ a combo of the green Memento inks and the greeting was stamped w/ black. I added a narrow pine green layer & instead of using another white layer to use the embossing folder on, I embossed the front of the card. The trick w/ this is, because I only wanted the front embossed, I had to put the card front in upside down in the folder, so it needed to be a pattern that looked good going either direction. Anything else would just look upside down 🙂

I added a die cut paper bow to finish. Here’s a look at the inside. The embossed card front also gives a nice look to the top of the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today’s Free For All Challenge (F4A368) on Splitcoast wants us to use a food or a food related image/theme. So I’m going w/ a tasty cupcake!

The cupcake was stamped & colored, then I used parts of 2 greetings and die cut the word “wish” twice & stacked it. After lining it up on the cupcake, I matched the colors & lines so it would blend in. A single candle was fussy cut & I made a small slit to insert it. A dry embossed dk red panel, some stickles & sequins were added to finish.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

The theme for today’s Ways to Use It Challenge (WT626) is “The Eyes Have It”. We are to feature eyes or glasses in some way. So I have this quick little birthday card featuring a trio of frogs. Originally, their glasses were part of snorkel gear, but I cut that part off, leaving them w/ big glasses.
After stamping, coloring & fussy cutting 3 of these frogs, I die cut 3 windows in a white panel & backed it w/ a pale blue panel. It looked a little too bare, so I used a splatter stamp to add the lt blue dots.  I also stamped, colored & fussy cut some balloons & party hats (both from the Party Pig image) to add along w/ the greeting to add to the bottom frog.

Here are the Copics I used.
