A big congrats to Sunny, the newest Featured Stamper (FS631)! She has a small, but gorgeous gallery. After strolling around for awhile, I chose THIS to case. I kept the houses & hot air balloon, but used different dies & stamped instead of die cut houses & used a die cut greeting.

After adding just a little color & fussy cutting the row of house, I die cut the trees, balloon, clouds, grass & greeting out of white. The trees & grass were colored & I found a piece of watercolor bg for the balloon & die cut it again to add the inserts. The Hi is actually from a Hugs die but I trimmed it to get what you see.

Here’s the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Welcome Neighbor Magnet card 3598a4

Here’s another ISC Sneak Peek from one of the new sheets to be released Mon, Oct 12. This features images from a sheet called “Country Living” and the small images are perfect for ATC’s and projects like this magnet.  This is also for today’s Inspiration Challenge at SCS.

For my inspiration, I chose the Prairie Sunrise Necklace for the great colors. I used little saltbox houses instead of prairie grasses, but the clear acrylic over my magnet looks a lot like the glass pendant.

The card is tan c/s that I die cut using Spellbinders largest, long scalloped rectangle and then I folded it in half to make the small card. I stamped the houses randomly on a piece of dp and attached it to a piece of red c/s, then the card front. I added a square of metallic gold c/s that I punched out the center and added a piece of adhesive magnet. Two punched circles of the gold c/s were added in the upper right corner.

The magnet was done by stamping the house, cloud, birds and ground w/ Stazon onto the back of the acrylic round. On the backside, I colored in the images using Galaxy markers. While still wet, I used a toothpick to scratch a texture in for the roof tiles.  I found a piece of c/s that had this fine stipes on it and I cut a piece for the house and glued it to the backside. I then peeled the top layer off of the circle I punched out of the gold c/s, and glued it to the back using Diamond Glaze.  The edge was rimmed w/ a Krylon gold leaf pen and another adhesive magnet circle was attached to the back.

FS133 Welcome to the Neighborhood 3272a2
Welcome to the Featured Stamper neighborhood, that is! A huge CONGRAtS to my friend and fellow ISC design team member, Joanne. Or jojot as she’s known around here. I’ve been a fan of yours since about the first day I joined SCS. A Christmas card you did was one of, if not the first, card I favorited here.

For my case, I chose Live, Laugh, Love . I kept the basic layout, but omitted a panel, kept the same colors but rearranged them, changed the images, the theme and subbed clip art for dp.

The lg Victorian house (unknwn- it’s wood mounted, but totally unmarked), was stamped w/ coal ink on white c/s. I cut a white frame and used a Spellbinders nestie oval to cut out the center. I trimmed around part of the house, put the frame on top but inserted the cut out parts on top of the frame. The greeting is stamped on the lower edge w/ cardinal ink.

For my bg panels, I pasted some clip art houses into an arrangement I liked, printed them out on white and divided them. Used a black marker on the edges and attached them to slightly larger white panels. I didn’t have any big red brads, so I used the Brilliance ink on them and heat set.

The red bg was printed w/ a slightly larger version of the clip art houses, edged w/ black and attached to a white card. The card measures 5 x 6.5.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
