A big congrats to Dagmar, the newest Featured Stamper (FS766) on Splitcoast! She has a wonderful gallery & uses so many great techniques. I chose THIS card to case. I kept the winter scene inside the masked shape but used different images & dies & made my scene a little bigger.
For my scenic Christmas card, I die cut the large scallop circle & used the reverse mask to cover all but the area where the scene would be. I used a curved mask to cover the sky area & sponged in the water, then used the reverse part to mask the water & sponged in the sky, leaving a white area between the two. I cut a bunch of masks for the rocks, since mine were all individual stamps, & stamped in the rocks. I covered the rocks & water & stamped the different size trees along the rocks. I used the scallop shaped mask to cover the scene, then stamped the snowflakes w/ white ink & embossed w/ holographic powder (it’s a little hard to see). A white Posca pen was used to add ‘snow’ dots to the sponged scene & also a little stickles for sparkle.

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC821) on Splitcoast, we’re going to a Roundscape Art Pinterest Board where I sort of found THIS picture. It’s not the exact one I used, but for the life of me, I cannot find it now.
For my card, I die cut one white & one black panel. I shortened the black panel & die cut a partial circle out of it then sponged on the colors for the big moon on the white panel behind it. I used a white Posca paint pen to add the white splatters to the top black bg & sponged on lighter colors on the lower white part. The die cut pine trees in black & gray were added across the bottom of the top black & the greeting stamped on the moon.

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC791) we’re headed to Shindigz (a party supply place) where I found THIS picture for my inspiration. I loved the color on the birches.
For my card, after die cutting the lt blue panel, I stamped it w/ the white ink using the dot bg. The birches were die cut & I used B66 & B32 Copics to shade the edges. The leaves on the bg were stamped using a couple of the blue ink & the ones on top were die cut & shaded w/ the same Copics.
