Weekly-Favorite
I made this for 2 Splitcoast challenges..Free for All (F4A337) Think Cool, and Tricia’s DTGD challenge. We’d love for you to join in & for all the details go to the Dare to Get Dirty Forum ..but you’ll need to be a Fan Club member. It’s sooooo easy!

To make my watermelon card, the big watermelon was stamped, colored & over stamped. I had the white die cut layer already there w/ the rectangle window cut out, so I made a black frame layer for it & attached it over the image. Parts of the two greeting were used and split up like you see. The checkerboard was stamped directly on the white layer & the fussy cut watermelon border was added on top.

I added some ants here & there because what’s a picnic w/o ants, right? I added a little black glaze pen to the watermelon seeds to make them shiny. Below are the Copics I used. Summer Watermelon copics 09646

Candy Apple Fall cu 07470
Today’s Clean & Simple Challenge (CAS344) is all about apples. I started to use an apple trio image but when I spied this candle apple image, I chose it instead.

After stamping & coloring, I over stamped w/ Versafine, added the greeting then die cut w/ a pierced rectangle die. The leftover frame was die cut w/ a matting basic die, to even the edges, & it was embossed w/ the apple folder. The leaf was inked w/ the Distress inks, stamped, the matching outline leaf was stamped on top w/ the sepia ink & fussy cut.
These are the Copics I used.

Sweet Applies 03960
Just a quick card for today’s Inspiration Challenge  (IC448) on Splitcoast. I was inspired by THIS picture. I love the 3 little apples and they remind me of the 3 apples in this image. To me these look like red delicious so that’s the way I colored them. After coloring, I fussy cut them to add to my kraft panel. For some reason I usually think of a kraft background when I see these apples.  See the border? It’s part of a larger image, meant for the back of a card or an envelope. I inked just one of the borders of it and stamped around the edges then used a white gel pen to accent it. The kraft panel and card front were die cut with a stitched border die set.

The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.
