Such lovely floral arrangements on today’s Inspiration Challenge (IC593) on Splitcoast! My card was inspired by THIS lovely picture w/ it’s yellows & peachy oranges. I also liked the black bg because it gave me a chance to do the Prismacolor on black c/s again from the TLC632 challenge. Maybe I should call this one “Ducks at Night”.

I like this technique, but it is challenging because you kind of have to think in reverse when coloring. I used my Misti to stamp the ducks with Brilliance moonlight white ink. Usually you use pigment ink but Brilliance dries so much faster & w/ the Misti, I can stamp it repeatedly to really make it bright. I used Prismas to color it then stamped over it again w/ the white ink.  Added the greeting below & a few stitched flowers around the circle.

Here’s a look at the inside using leftover frames & flowers.

Thanks so much for looking! Have a Happy Easter!

Mary will announce a winner on March 20 on her Blog.  Each month a different image is 50% off. This month- it’s the Marble Feathers Bg! On the first & third Wednesdays of every month., we’ll be celebrating with a Blog Hop!

Isn’t this new Chick w/ Butterfly adorable? After coloring it, I die cut w/ a pierced oval. The greeting was stamped on a piece of the leftover white & after die cutting w/ a pierced square, I trimmed it down a bit. To stamp the greeting, I lined it up in my Misti & stamped it w/ black. Then I shifted the white piece slightly up & left & stamped it again w/ lulu lavender to give it the shading.

Two extra daisies were fussy cut & I made a little sheer bow to go on the side. The grape background was die cut w/ the new Swirl Cuts Bg die. It cuts all the swirls but leaves them intact. A really nice effect!

Here’s a look at the inside. I had a piece of lighter lavender w/ the lg egg shape already cut out, so I thought it would be perfect for the inside. The Flower Corner was stamped in grape & I used a white gel pen to add a few highlights. Below this are the Copics I used.

  • Serendipity March Blog Hop #1!

Welcome to the March#1 Blog Hop for Serendipity Stamps!

If you arrived here from Miriam’s blog, you’re in the right place..if not, you may want to head over there first.

The Prize – One $20 gift code will go to one random commenter from the blogs. So be sure  to visit all the blogs because you don’t know which one the winner will be drawn from. You have through Sunday March 5 to leave comments on the blogs for a chance to win. Mary will announce a winner on March 6 on her Blog.  Each month a different image is 50% off. This month- it’s the Marble Feathers Bg! On the first & third Wednesdays of every month., we’ll be celebrating with a Blog Hop!

To make my Easter card, I started by white embossing the Marble Feathers Bg onto white card stock, then I used the Distress inks to sponge the color over it for a pretty pastel bg. The Three Ducks were stamped onto the X-Press it c/s and colored w/ Copics. I used my into the window die cutting technique to cut the frame, leaving the ducks attached to it at the bottom.

I wanted the frame w/ the ducks to be elevated from the bg, so I used those leftover pieces & strips of c/s we all have & usually throw away, and glued them to the back side to add stability & depth. The Spring die was cut 3 times & stacked to match the depth of the frame.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Please be sure to comment on all the DT Blogs..it will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!
