Welcome to the North Coast Creations July release!

On this card, I stamped the old barn w/ black ink and colored it with Copics. The red card stock I had wasn’t as dark a red as I wanted, so I rubbed red ink all over it before stamping it with ODBD’s Wood Background with cocoa ink. I die cut a frame with this using the Spellbinder’s Labels 21 then added some piercing and faux stitching w/ a white gel pen. The greeting was die cut using a Lacey Pennants die. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.

These are the Copics I used:

On my second card, I again stamped and colored the image using Copics. The gazebo as well as the heather layer were die cut w/ square dies. The lower panel of heather was embossed and added below w/ a gradient ribbon between the two. The greeting, again from Find Beauty, was die cut w/ an oval. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50. (Sorry, I forgot to take a pic of the Copics.)

  • Beautiful Clover

    Julie Warner - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com
A big CONGRATS to Jeanne, the Featured Stamper today on Splitcoast (FS336)! What a fabulous gallery she has! I chose her May card to case. I kept the layout and use of fancy die cuts, but I used different images, slightly different colors and used the die cut clover images instead of flowers.

The images are from Our Daily Bread designs. I used a background I made from a Mono Print #2 technique tutorial ( It’s also on the ODBD Blog as  No Gel Plate, No Problem!). It’s a fun alternative to gel plates called Mono Printing. For the clover, I stamped it several times, colored w/ Copics and die cut them using the matching clover die. I arranged them around my die cut sentiment, added a couple of fancy die cuts behind it and attached to my 5.50 4.25 card. I added a couple of fussy cut little bees from the clover set.

These are the Copics I used to color the clover.

  • Old Fashioned Hello

    Julie Warner – https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com
    A
big congrats to Jodi, the Featured Stamper (FS331) on Splitcoast! What a super gallery and I noticed she has a lot of vintage images and little frames w/ a postage stamp edge, so I chose her Hello, Bonnie Blue Bell to case. I kept the Hello theme, soft colors and general layout, but I used different images, made my background instead of using dp and put the sentiment on the image panel.

I stamped the greeting  next to the little telephone and colored it w/ Copics, using the colors from Tuesday’s Color Challenge (CC429), sand, pink & sky. To make the background, I placed a couple of strips of drywall mesh across white c/s and sponged the colors on. I added a few strips of painter’s tape and sponged on more color. I die cut one frame using the postage stamp squares (resized to a rectangle) and a narrow white frame around the outside. I used copics to color in the postage stamp frame. The card is 4.25 x 5.50.

For once, I actually remembered to take a pic of the Copics I used before I put them all back. So just in case you’d like to know, here they are:
