For my water color cards today, I came across some Brusho backgrounds I made who knows how long ago. I couldn’t decide if I liked the turquoise/blue bg or the rainbow bg more…so I used both! On this turq/blue one, I put the Mill image into my Misti and stamped it 2 or 3 times w/ Versafne (to get good coverage). I added just a few highlights here & there w/ a white gel pen then added the greeting below it. It’s edged w/ a black marker, then attached to a turq layer & a very narrow black layer.
Here’s the inside. The greeting was shadow stamped w/ the blue ink slightly offset from the black.
On the rainbow version, I went thru the same repetitive stamping as the first one but ended up heat embossing it w/ black powder anyway. This unknown water color paper is soooo textured it made stamping a line image a little more difficult.
I die cut a narrow black square frame for it & stamped the greeting on a leftover piece of the background. A dot border was embossed on the frame between the image & the greeting.
Here’s the inside.
Please be sure to comment on all the DT Blogs..it will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!

Enjoying all your beautiful cards. Anxious to see more of them. Edna
Appreciate and admire your talent. You do beautiful work. I especially like the turquoise version, the use of color shades and gradation is exquisite.
Great card. Love this stamp.
Both cards are beautiful…I can’t believe you had the watercolor paper just waiting to be used, you couldn’t have planned the coloring any better if it was designed for this stamp! I love it!
The second one is pretty but I really love the simple blue wash. Makes for a very dreamy scene. Hugz
Pretty cards! Love the mill image and the backgrounds you used!
Wonderful takes using the same stamp!!! Very pretty selections!
Love this Mill image and the backgrounds you created.
If you hadn’t included the 1st card with the turquoise coloring, I’d have said the 2nd card was my favorite. I do like the texture and the colors you achieved on that interesting watercolor paper, but the 1st card uses a favorite color of mine and I love the simplicity of it. The shadow stamping on the inside of both is a perfect touch. I’m going to remember it and use it. Lovely and well done!
Love your backgrounds!
I LOVE your beautiful card, Julie, especially in the shades of blue! It reminds me of a place in my home town. Really cute idea and really gorgeous too.
Take care!
Michele

Gorgeous both! I’m glad you didn’t ask us to choose a favourite; each background showcases the Mill and your sentiment selections perfectly!
