For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC898), we’re visiting Velvet & Linen and their Pinterest Board where I found THESE lovely glass bottles.

My colorful little owls were all colored in happy colors & die cut w/ their matching dies, as were the balloons. The banner was fussy cut & popped up just in the middle. The card is a mini slimline & I used a regular slimline die for the purple panel & made it shorter by cutting it mid way then moving up the opposite end of the die & cutting the rest. A mini slimline circle inset was used for the triple windows.

I used 2 patterns of the new Party Time paper: one w/ colorful dots to go behind the owl windows & a second w/ the birthday words for the background. The little pink owl was also popped up.

Here are the Copics I used:

A big congrats to Amber, the newest Featured Stamper (FS836)! She has a beautiful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout & flower thank you theme, but used different images, dies & colors. Instead of using the white wash like she die, i used Prismacolor pencils on my flowers.

For my card, I die cut the dk grey panel using the 2nd largest mini slimline die. By coincidence, it is just the right size for an A2 card. I used my Misti, both flowers & a pair of leaves from the stamp set along w/ the masks for the flowers (comes w/ the set), to stamp the images using gray flannel ink. Prismacolor pencils & a white Signo pen were used to color them. I die cut a pale grey & dusty pink panel to layer beside the dk grey.

The single flower was stamped onto a piece of the pale grey & again, colored w/ Prismas & a white Signo. This flower was die cut & popped up on foam. For the greeting tag, I stamped it w/ versaclair & clear embossed it. I used the smallest tag to die cut it. Then I moved the die a couple of times..both up from the bottom & in from both sides to make a much smaller tag.

Here are the Prismacolor pencils I used (listed on the pic in order from left to right). The pencils to the right of the white pencil are the ones I used on the single flower. The others were used on the flowers on the grey background. Those colors were too peachy to match when I colored in the single flower on the very light grey paper. Colors usually look totally different depending on what color you use for your background. For the bright white edges of the petals, I used the white gel pen & immediately softened it a bit w/ a water brush. The gel ink is pretty much water soluble (until it dries) & I wanted it to look a little softer & blend in more.

The Inspiration Challenge (IC897) this week is Poppy Talk & their Pinterest Board. I found THIS lovely picture to inspire me.

My card is all gold embossed. I started w/ the different ferns then stamped the not so many dots bg across it and the larger white bg, as well. I added the many dots bg to the lower sections then used a pencil eraser to stamp the large dots at the very bottom of the larger bg.

The greeting was embossed onto an oval then I added a larger oval & narrow layers behind the two rectangle panels out of a metallic gold paper. I had a couple of narrow strips of the gold paper left over so I ran them thru my paper crimper to mimic the fan folded elements in my inspiration picture.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
