Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs March Release Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Becca’s Awesome Blog, you are in the right place. If not you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog and start from the beginning. If you get lost along the way, simply return there, where the entire hop is listed with links.
For my card, I stamped and water colored both of the images ( Light of Life and Sweet Friendship) and used my out of the box Nestie technique to die cut it using a Spellbinders labels 18. I added an extra cut out lantern on top of the base image for a little dimension. On the frame, I cut the inside out and attached the quote (from Spread Light) behind it.
The top background was done with a Cuttlebug distressed stripe embossing folder. I inked the top side of the folder using the Memento inks before I ran it through the Grand Calibur. On the bottom, I stamped the Honeycomb Background on the dk brown c/s w/ the cocoa ink. It reminded me of chicken wire and I thought that would fit in w/ my rustic looking card. Two screw head brads complete the 4.25 x 5.50 card.
From here, hop to Patter’s Fabulous Blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
