The Technique Challenge (TLC680) on Splitcoast is a dark to light gradient background. Well..I have a dark to light to dark bg.
The checkerboard bg was stamped w/ white & clear embossed then I sponged the Distress inks from corner to corner. It was die cut & a very narrow black layer inserted between the 2 cut layers before putting them back together.
I split the greeting up to add the die cut Shine in the center. This die cut word was heat embossed w/ red glitter powder to make it sparkle & shine. I popped up the greeting panel to give it some dimension. Here’s the inside.
Supplies:
Stamps: DRS Designs –Sun Shine On You, Checkerboard Bg (inside: Sunny Day Birthday Greeting) |
Paper: Staples 110# white, black |
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Colorbox frost white pigment, Distress inks worn lipstick, squeezed lemonade, fired brick, twisted citron, cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, salty ocean |
Accessories: Lil’ Inker stitched rectangles, Momento shine die, clear embossing powder, red glitter embossing powder, sequins |
This next card is for the Color Challenge (CC677) is peach, coral & a lt. emerald.
I came as close as I could to these colors (on the screen, that peach color looks really golden-yellow to me).
The flowers were stamped a bunch of times, colored & fussy cut. I like the look of these long ovals so after stamping the greeting & die cutting them, I arranged all the flowers to the side.
Here’s the inside & the Copic colors I used.
