    Who Loves Ya cu 02186

Welcome to the Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop!
Today we’re showing off this  wonderful new Owl die! Isn’t it fabulous? I love all the detail and it cuts like a dream.

    Who Loves Ya 02185
For my owl card, I used a dark flecked rust card stock to die cut a frame using a rectangle die. I used the center cut out to die cut the owl. I love this rust color paired w/ the soft sky color so I traced around the die and fussy cut the blue layer. A leaf die was used to cut all the rust & sky leaves in graduating sizes. I found a piece of designer paper that had the two colors in it and used it as a backdrop behind the frame. The greeting banner and backing banner were also die cut and I put a wave in the top one because it was a bit long for the layout. I added some sequins to the leaves and some bigger, bluer sequins to his eyes. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Please be sure to visit all of the Design Team blogs to see their fabulous samples with this beautiful owl die.

Welcome to the North Coast Creations October New Releases!

On my first card, I stamped the wonderful beach scene and colored w/ Copics, then used the fluorescent gel pens for the little Christmas lights and Copic white opaque paint for the surf. I die cut the white frame using the ODBD Recipe Card die but shortened it a bit before cutting the rectangle in the center. The turquoise/lime zigzag frame was from a leftover background I made w/ pigment inks and I used a zigzag border punch to create the colored border. A chevron embossing folder was used on the right side. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.

For my second card, I stamped the wonderful Joy image, again coloring it with Copics. I used one of the grand circle dies to cut it out, but cut it off below the image. I used the next size up to cut the red layer and the red piece at the bottom was a left over piece from die cutting the bracket border. The two kraft strips were cut using the bracket border dies and embossed w/ an embossing border folder. I added a few strips of red onto the plaid dp down the center.

Interesting Color Challenge today on Splitcoast (CC447)! Chocolate Chip, Real Red & Bermuda Bay. Not a real easy combo to make a fall card, IMHO. I could see a Christmas card, but I needed to make a fall card. So…I used the acrylic block tech on the long strip down the left w/ the rich cocoa ink. Then I sponged the 2 blue distress inks getting darker as it went down until the bottom where I sponged more of the cocoa ink. Then I stamped the leaves with the red ink and added some white dots w/ a gel pen.

On the turquoise panel, I stamped the leaf background image with the tumbled glass then the sentiment with the red. On the leaves, I sponged the inks onto a white strip then stamped them w/ the cocoa ink and die cut. A big button and raffia bow were added above the leaves. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
