A Christmas in July slimline card using heavy printed card stock w/ pre-colored images & matching dies. Comes w/ sheets of the printed images along w/ scenes & snowflake papers to mix & match.

It’s my turn to host the Inspiration Challenge (IC917) & I thought we’d go w/ some Christmas in July, so it’s off to the Decorator’s Warehouse this week.

I came across THIS cute item & used it for my inspiration. It was perfect for this Winter Train slimline pad w/ matching dies. All of the cute images are pre-printed & pre-colored so I used their matching dies to cut them all out. I used a scenic night background (from the same pad) for the background & die cut it w/ the largest stitched slimline die. I cut a slightly larger white layer, then added the rest of the bg behind it. I thought the narrow white layer would break up the dark a little.

After I arranged the train and other cut outs, I attached them to the bg & popped up a few, here & there just a bit. I added the Merry Christmas w/ shadow along the top.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • Hey Vacay

A fun summer beach vacay card w/ some really cute little critters. Easy to make & so colorful.

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC912), we’re visiting Primitives by Kathy and their Pinterest site where I found THIS picture.

For my vacay card, I colored & die cut the little animals & fussy cut the palm trees. I used a split circle die to cut out the top of my white panel, leaving the center wide enough to stamp my greeting. I added some die cut clouds & grass on the top section & some waves in two colors on the lower section.

I added 2 more die cut layers of white under the top panel to add a lift from the background.

And these are the Copics I used:

  • Hang in There

A big congrats to Marlease, the newest Featured Stamper (FS838)! She has a wonderful gallery & after browsing I chose THIS card to case. I kept the balloons but used different images, dies, colors & used a designer paper for the background.
Super cute little “hanging in there” bunny w/ a balloon. Part of a new Birthday Bunnies set & matching dies. The new party paper pad is so pretty!
My card uses a really cute bunny set & dies plus some lovely new paper. After coloring & die cutting the bunny & an extra balloon (from another set), then fussy cut the greeting to add in place of the balloon string.

I die cut a small white polaroid frame, inserted a piece of the balloon paper in the center, then added a purple deckled layer behind it.

The bunny and balloon are popped up just a bit. More of the balloon paper (I just love this paper!) is behind it along w/ a narrow purple layer. The finished card is A2 (4.25 x 5.5). I colored this bunny at the same time I did the other image so the Copics were the same, minus the browns & reds I used for the other bunnies & cake.

    Thanks
    so much for stopping by!
