Super Ways to Use It Challenge (WT359) on Splitcoast! I love to pick my own challenges! This one is really CAS which is odd for me, but I had help because of the 4 WT challenges I chose for this has us case a card in our faves. WT353 Use it or lose it and the one I used was THIS fab card. I’m also using 3 other WT’s from this past year: Oval-icious – WT319 , I Heart You – WT308 and Pink, Pink, Pink! – WT344. Whew! If all those links come out right, I’ll be surprised!

The image is a new one from DRS Designs and it’s all one image but I stamped it twice and die cut it w/ 2 sizes of classic ovals. I was so happy to see how perfect it fit! I added a little color w/ some markers and attached it to kelly green fancy label.

The backgrounds were all embossed w/ the same ef and quickly attached to kelly green layers. The middle one is slightly larger than the others just to make it look right. I added some scored lines and my 5.50 x 4.25 card was finished.

This is also for the DRS Thursday Challenge. It’s easy and you don’t have to use DRS images to enter for a chance to win some fabulous images. Come check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • Blue Sunflower

Since we’re doing (mostly) blue cards today, mine showcases this wonderful Sunflower image done in blues w/ a little coral for an accent color. I think I’ve said this before but I try not to let reality get in the way of how I color things. You’ll probably never see a sunflower this color in real life, but I like it! And because I love a good contrast, I paired the shades of blue w/ a nice corally-orange dot paper. A big scallop die was used on the bottom strips and the 2 shades of blue paper are actually the flip sides of one sheet of textured c/s. I used a pennant die for the sentiment, added a little twine bow and some beautiful little Swarovski crystals. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.

Here are the Tombow markers I used to color my sunflower and the ink I used to stamp the images. Julie Warner - justwritedesigns https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com/

And last but not least, is my notebook page along with supplies I used. If you haven’t tried the Picksey Pick Ups, they are fabulous! Makes working w/ those little crystals an absolute breeze!

  • Heart Flowers

    Julie Warner - justwritedesigns - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

For my field of Heart Flowers, I stamped the grass across the front of a vanilla panel. The various hearts were stamped, cut out and popped up on top of the blades of grass. I added a little color to some areas of the hearts using a combination of Tombow markers and Prismacolor pencils. I already had this dp from Cosmo Cricket picked out and it turned out to  be a really tough color of red to match. The only way I could come close was using both the markers and pencils.  I added some little crystals on top of the hearts. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.

And here’s the page from my notebook. Can’t tell you how many different red inks I tried before deciding the lipstick red chalk ink came the closest.
