Welcome to the North Coast Creations July release!
Â
On this card, I stamped the old barn w/ black ink and colored it with Copics. The red card stock I had wasn’t as dark a red as I wanted, so I rubbed red ink all over it before stamping it with ODBD’s Wood Background with cocoa ink. I die cut a frame with this using the Spellbinder’s Labels 21 then added some piercing and faux stitching w/ a white gel pen. The greeting was die cut using a Lacey Pennants die. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.
Stamps: North Coast Creations – Barn, Find Beauty, ODBD Wood Background |
Paper:Â Neenah white, dk red |
Ink:Â Memento tuxedo black, rick cocoa, Ancient Page cardinal & bordeaux |
Accessories:Â Spellbinders Labels 21 & Lacey Pennant dies, Copic markers, white gel pen, piercing tool |
On my second card, I again stamped and colored the image using Copics. The gazebo as well as the heather layer were die cut w/ square dies. The lower panel of heather was embossed and added below w/ a gradient ribbon between the two. The greeting, again from Find Beauty, was die cut w/ an oval. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50. (Sorry, I forgot to take a pic of the Copics.)

I just saw these on Sabrina’s blog as well, beautiful cards Julie, I love these images and they would make a fabulous addition to all my thousands of scenic stamps for the retreat I host every year.
Both of these cards are beautiful. The rich red of the barn is so sumptuous, and the light airy feel of the gazebo of coming off the card is wonderful. Hugs, Jen 🙂 xx

Great job on both cards. I love the images cut out with the dies and the coloring is beautiful.
These are just so beautiful. The red barn card feels so rustic, and I love how you deepened the red of the cardstock and then stamped it for more texture. The gazebo card captures the feel of a summer in the park. Lovely!!
