It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge (FS693)! So a big congrats to Linda, the newest Featured Stamper. Linda has a beautiful gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the embossed dot bg & negative space branch w/ colorful flowers, but I used different stamps & dies & a different embossing folder.
After die cutting the large leaf branch into the layer, I embossed it w/ a folder that has big dots but also a blank bar across the bottom. I thought it would be the perfect area to stamp my greeting. The little daisies were are die cut out of white & sponged w/ the inks. For the green behind the leaves, I stamped it w/ 2 different random dots background images using turquoise inks then added a touch of shading w/ some Prismacolor Pencils before attaching it behind the white cut out layer.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC754) we’re headed to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm & my inspiration was THIS picture. I don’t have a tulip die, so I subbed a poppy like flower for my wreath.
I die cut a bajillion or so of the 5 petal flowers..colored them w/ the inks & a water brush or sponging, then shaped them. I used the ball end of a very large stylus to add the black centers & a much smaller stylus to add the tiny black dots. After I attached the flowers to a couple of die cut rings, I added some black glitter glue to the centers. I started to do my wreath like the inspiration w/ the flower color mixed, but after playing w/ it a while, I liked the more dramatic look of the red fading to the paler color on the opposite side. The white bg was die cut w/ a floral frame & the greeting stamped in the center.

Congrats to Laurie, the newest Featured Stamper (FS692) on Splitcoast! She has a very colorful & fun gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the monster party theme & balloons, but I used different images & dies & changed the layout.
For my monster birthday, after coloring & die cutting the colorful crew, I placed them in & out of a white frame & popped them up a bit. I did the same for the balloons, then stamped the birthday bg image in cranberry ink on the red bg. Just a touch of red was added to the bg balloons w/ a Prismacolor pencil.
Here are the Copics I used:
