Congrats to Jan, the newest Featured Stamper (FS659) on Splitcoast! She has one fab gallery & it was really hard to pick just one. But THIS card really stayed w/ me so I picked it to case. I kept the big, patterned die cut letters & most of the colors, but I used different stamps, different dies & turned it into a Christmas card.
For my version, after coloring the many moose (mooses? meeses? I know the plural is the same as the singular..it just looks weird, kwim?), they were die cut w/ the matching dies. The bg was sponged w/ Distress inks & splattered w/ water. On the Merry letters, I sponged the Brilliance ink onto red c/s using several new Rubbernecker stencils, spritzed it w/ shimmer spray, then die cut them. I added some Washi tape toward the top & a couple of stitched snow hills at the bottom before adding the moose herd. The Christmas was white embossed on black & tucked under the washi tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC720), we are going to Burton & Burton. There were a lot of things I wanted to use for inspiration, but I kept coming back to THIS picture.
After I die cut the trees, deer & a white front, I sponged the Distress inks down another white panel, then splattered it w/ some picket fence Distress stain. The die cuts were attached (I used a black Prismacolor pencil on the birch trees) & the little scene was spritzed w/ a shimmer spray.
After I decided how tall to make my little scene, I used my Resizing Technique to divide the top white panel in two, then shorten them (this technique works for making die cuts smaller as well as larger!). I had some corrugated white cardboard saved from a light bulb pkg, so I used it to pop up the 2 white panel a bit. Stickles was used on the white snowflake & a few clear sequins for additional sparkle.

It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge (FS658) this week, so a big congrats to Laura! After much browsing, I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout, but flipped it & used die cuts instead of stamps on mine.
For my autumn card, I die cut all the scarecrow pieces out of different colors, added a bit of shading w/ some Prismacolor pencils & put them all together. I added a fence & some corn stalks. The greeting was stamped onto a shortened stitched pennant.
