It’s my turn to host the Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge, so a big congrats to Karen! She has a lovely gallery & I was very taken w/ THIS card…the colors, the layout..I just love it. Which is a little strange, because every time I try to use this blackberry or razzleberry color, I get into trouble. For me, they are very hard colors to work with. Anyway, I kept the colors & layout, but used different images & dies & made mine a birthday card.
After I white embossed the flowers & leaves onto white c/s, I sponged on the Distress inks in the purples & blues then die cut the flowers w/ the matching dies. I didn’t have paper anywhere near this purply color so I also sponged the wider strip down the side, then stamped the leaves w/ Versamark. I had to sponge the Wishing word to match, too. The white linen bg was sponged w/ the tumbled glass & the rest of the greeting was stamped w/ the Versafine purple ink. I came across a large bottle of dew drops (remember those?) so I added a few.
Here’s a look at the inside.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Aren’t these birds adorable? I love the stitch lines & patterns on them. While I was unpacking some crafty stuff (after our recent move), I came across some backgrounds I made ages ago. I used a portion of the blue/green wax paper resist Cuttlebug bg on this card. To me, it looked similar to the Floral Cuts Bg die, so I thought they’d work well together. I colored the little birds using colors from the bg piece, then fussy cut them. The Hello die was cut once out of white & once out of teal & stacked, a little offset.
Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
Next stop is Vickie’s Blog! Please be sure to comment on all the DT Blogs..it will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!

A big congrats to Lisa, the newest Featured Stamper (FS571) on Splitcoaststampers! She has a lovely little gallery & I chose THIS to case. I kept the circle for the central image, but turned mine vertical, left off the divided panel & made mine a sympathy card.
To make my sympathy card, I used a large circle as a reverse mask, a smaller circle as a mask for the moon/sun, and a straight edge piece of paper for a horizon mask then sponged the blues below & red/oranges above. I went back in w/ a white pencil & added some reflection lines then stamped the Silhouette Branch in black & highlighted them w/ a white gel pen. After adding the stitched circle frame, I stamped the greeting & one of the little corner flourishes in 3 corners. After I die cut the whole panel, I sponged on color on the little narrow layer & put it back around the white panel.
