You have through Sunday May 21 to leave comments on the blogs for a chance to win. Mary will announce a winner on May22 on her Blog.  Each month a different image is 50% off. This month- it’s the Simple Flower Set! On the first & third Wednesdays of every month., we’ll be celebrating with a Blog Hop!

My card is fairly quick since this fab die does almost all of the work for you! Since I first saw it, it’s been one of my faves (especially since I suggested it to Mary, way back when, lol)! I adore hot air balloons…it’s impossible not to smile & be happy when you see them. And I used it today because I have a friend who recently received some bad news, health wise & I’m sure she could use a smile.

After die cutting the reverse hot air balloons out of cobalt, I found some paper that had these chevrons in blues & green & I thought it went perfectly w/ the patterns in the balloons. I die cut the clouds part of the die again in white to add on top of the white stitched frame, then added the fussy cut speech bubble w/ the greeting in the lower right.

Here’s a look at the inside using some of the leftover parts. (I also used a mask of the balloon die to sponge the blue ink on the side of the envelope.)

Please be sure to comment on all the DT Blogs..it will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!

Today’s Clean & Simple Challenge (CAS429) on Splitcoast asks us to “get techy” & show/use some kind of technology. I’m sure a whole lot of technology went into the space program.
In fact, growing up The Jetsons was one my fave cartoons & I couldn’t wait to grow up & have Rosie be my robot maid or have a flying space car or dinner from an electronic dumbwaiter in the wall. Hmmm…I’m still waiting!  But I do have George Jetson’s boy Elroy & his dog Astro on my card. The image was stamped, colored & fussy cut to add to a bg I made ages ago & near as I can remember, it was sponged w/ the distress inks then stenciled w/ white pigment ink. I stamped the image again on this bg in order to have the stars, which I colored in & added Wink of Stella. The cut out circle was added back w/ the greeting on top.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

A big congrats to Donna, the newest Featured Stamper on Splitcoast (FS536)! After much browsing, I chose THIS to case. I admit my case doesn’t look a lot (really anything) like her card, lol. I literally focused (tongue in cheek) on the camera & my card just kind of grew from there. After I had the camera die cut, I thought it went really well w/ the greeting, then I needed something to have a picture of…and that’s how it went.

So after I stamped & colored the flamingo scene, I added the die cut frames, the camera & split the greeting w/ the first part on the little flag & the rest on the lower frame.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
