Merry Poinsettia Wreath cu redo 07840
Weekly-Favorite
Today we’re taking another look at the Our Daily Bread designs November release! There are some really fabulous dies & images this month & they work so well with the previous Christmas releases.  Merry Poinsettias retake07870
For my Christmas wreath card, I die cut the large dp layer & the white layer. After edging the white layer w/ a gold paint pen, I attached them together. For the wreath, I die cut a Doily out of white along w/ some Peaceful Poinsettias & Merry Mosaics. I also die cut the two poinsettias out of the same dp I used for the large layer. I used a small circle die for the gold poinsettia centers & I tucked in a few gold branches on the right I die cut using one of the Lovely Leaves dies & a couple of Pinecones on top. I tucked a white die cut Windowsill Candle die cut into the center of the wreath.

After die cutting one large & one medium bow out of the brushed gold c/s, I though the medium was a tad too small but the bow part looked super on top of the large bow. I also die cut one gold Merry & 3 heavy white Merrys then stacked them together for more dimension.

Here are the fabulous dies & papers I used.

NCC CHristmoose cu 07867 This is for the Color Challenge (CC557) today on Splitcoast. Originally, I was trying for the “not fussy” dessert option of the challenge. But seriously…trying to do that really started to wear me out, so I gave up & did what I do..mostly fussy. After I stopped trying to reinvent the wheel, this is the result. It’s not too super fussy, just a little bit.

NCC Christmoose 07863 After stamping, coloring w/ Copics & over stamping, I made a little star stencil on copy paper by die cutting two different sized stars in it & sponging the blue ink through it on the background. I die cut it then sponged 3 sides. On the left side, I used a curved die to cut off a little bit & I replaced it w/ some dp, then added some die cut stars on top. I die cut the greeting & a couple of dp circles and pretty much done.

Here’s a look at the inside using some leftovers & below it are the Copics I used.

The Technique Challenge (TLC560) today is to use dies to make a wreath. I used a pair of circle dies to make the basic shape of my wreath, then added all the other die cuts to it.

In fact, my entire card is made up of die cuts. The wreath ring was die cut out of kraft c/s & to add a little shine, I sponged it w/ Brilliance galaxy gold. I treated the little leafy vine & pine cones the same way. The little red flowers, red die cut bow, holly & greeting were coated w/ Wink of Stella & they really sparkle! The large candles were left open to let the paper show through & the greeting was attached under the wreath.

Here’s a look a the inside.
