Paper Pieced Balloons 07156
I’m having so much fun with this Hot Air Balloon Reverse Background die! I actually made this at the same time I made one I posted last week. (Click on picture below to take you to the post).

Hello Yellow Balloons 07151
But today’s card is quite a bit more involved…a bunch of paper piecing w/ different patterns from the same paper collection. I didn’t have to cut as many papers as you might think…since the paper is double sided & the balloons cut outs are symmetrical, I was able to cut it twice then flip over the pieces to use the reverse side & put them back in. The yellow has the blue flowery print on the other side, and the chevron has the lt blue on the other side.  I didn’t put paper inside the clouds so that the white would show through.

Here’s a look at the inside. I trimmed around one of the blue balloon cut outs & added some yellow clouds.

NCC Owlways Love You cu 07225 Today’s Color Challenge (CC545) on Splitcoast is Vanilla & Metallic Gold. Beautiful combo, but very hard to photograph! The camera just cannot appreciate or capture the shimmer & shine of metallics.

NCC Owlways Love You 07220 My card is a sneak peek at some super cute new images & dies from North Coast Creations. There is a whole family of these cute little owls & matching dies! Yay! The two owls were gold embossed & die cut along w/ the branch they’re standing on. The gold leafy paper was die cut for the large bg & also the scallop backing for the large heart. I also gold embossed the greeting (but left off the you part) die cut w/ mini tag & I die cut the You using another of the new NCC dies out of metallic gold. The leafy vine is another new NCC die. I used a woodgrain embossing folder for the lt vanilla bg & a slightly darker vanilla for the large heart.

Here’s a look at the inside:

Shell Wreath cu 06656
Today’s Inspiration Challenge (IC507) is a Pinterest board full of fabulous mixed media art. I could spend all day looking at the beautiful pictures. My card was inspired by THIS picture.
Shell Wreath 06655 I already had the mixed media bg made, just waiting around to be used. It was embossed w/ a chevron folder, then Versamark ink rubbed over it & heat embossed w/ a shabby white/gold embossing powder. I did the same to the wave die cut at the bottom.

Shell Wreath xcu 06665 The greeting circle was stamped & gold embossed & I also added a few gold embossed splatters. The different shells were all gold embossed, fussy cut & I used a couple of Prismacolor pencils to add just a hint of color. A die cut vellum twig wreath was attached around the circle (it reminded me of coral) then the shells were added on top.

Here’s the inside.
