Fun challenge today on Splitcoast (F4A159)! I always forget about all the eyelets I have stashed away. So today I used a bunch for my fairly CAS card.

The images are from Our Daily Bread designs. The background is actually all one piece. I embossed the bottom half, scored a couple of lines and attached a narrow strip between the score lines (helps me keep it straight). The top half was stamped w/ a dotty circle (supposed to be a frame) in all of the colors of Distress Inks.

For the cupcake, I just swiped some copics on white c/s and stamped the image and cut it out. The round layer was stamped and die cut w/ one of the tag dies and the scallop on bottom used another of the tag dies and images. Then I attached all my eyelets. A few I colored w/ copics to get the right colors. The fuchsia layer was also made w/ copics. Didn’t have the right color so just used the fuchsia copic to color around the edge before I attached the main panel. It’s 5.50 x 4.25.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A big CONGRATS to Sue, the Featured Stamper (FS317) on Splitcoast! Can you believe how big and beautiful her gallery is? There are a lot of cards I picked to CASE but I kept coming back to this Snowflakes of Peace card. I didn’t even realize it was a CASE of a CASE until after I finished. But in any case, I think my CASE resembles Sue’s CASE much more closely. I loved it so much, I didn’t want to change anything so I kept the layout and similar colors, but I don’t have the images she used so I changed images, added a layer or two, a butterfly and made mine a birthday card.

The card is pretty Clean & Simple (CAS)…I stamped the medallion several times in the red, aqua and pear tart colors, then used different size circle dies to cut them out and mix match a couple of the centers. The big flourish was stamped on the layer underneath using the neptune ink and the two part sentiment was stamped in red. I added the sky blue layer and onto my 4.25 x 5.50 card. A few gems and a cut out butterfly finished it.

Congrats again, Sue! Enjoy your week! Thanks so much for stopping by!

That’s a lot of sets for one card,  and I’m a little surprised there’s as much open area on my card as there is, lol! For the gingham background and pinwheel, I stamped the gingham using a lt pink pigment ink and let it dry. Meanwhile, I stamped the cupcake plate and two little cupcake plates, colored w/ Copics and fussy cut them. The recipe card die was used on piece of white linen paper and I sponged a little angel pink around the inside edge while the die was still in place. I did the same for the greeting tag then stamped both w/ black ink.

For the band across the bottom, I used a embossing border folder and inked it w/ the angel pink before I embossed it. Then I made two pinwheels…one is a 1.5 inch and the other is a 1.25 inch …out of some paper stamped w/ the gingham.  I put the smaller pinwheel on top of the larger one and put a brad thru the center. The brad was white, but I colored it w/ a pink Copic marker to match. I think pinwheels are a fun little alternative to bows. They are easy to make and for clarity, I made a little Pinwheel Tutorial if you’d like to see how I made them. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.
