Very interesting sketch today (SC350 ) at Splitcoast! At first it seems simple, but those angles at the top and bottom got a little tricky when I wanted to add a narrow layer.

For my monochromatic card, I stamped the quote (Our Daily Bread designs), die cut it along w/ a ridged grey layer. They’re attached to a labels 17 die cut stamped w/ a fancy label image. I used some stripe dp for my bg panel and used a Scor-Buddy to add some scored diagonal lines on the right card front.

The dahlia is a new EK Success punch. You punch a long line then roll it up to create the flower. I made a Faux Brad  (I have another tutorial HERE) out of the grey for the flower center and added a few branches. The finished card is 5.5 x 4.25.

Best of 2011Wonderful color combo today w/ the color challenge (CC340) at Splitcoast! I hope mine come close enough. I don’t have the actual colors, but IRL this dp comes pretty close and I added a little of peach on the stem and leaves.

All images are Our Daily Bread designs. I stamped the pumpkin twice on the red/orange dp and once on the aqua dp, die cut them w/ the matching ODBD custom die and pieced them together. I used two sizes of the Spellbinders labels 4 to cut out the center of the frames in the aqua dp and textured gray.

The greeting was stamped inside the frames on the aqua c/s and everything attached to a 5.5 x 4.25 card.

Congrats to Chrissy, today’s Featured Stamper (FS239) at Splitcoast! What a wonderful gallery! Having been on a couple of design teams w/ Chrissy, I’ve seen her work up close. Hope you’re feeling better, Chrissy!

I chose her Apples to Apples to case. I changed the apple to a pumpkin, changed the colors, images and embossing folder but kept the layout and fruit/veggie theme.

For my version, I stamped the pumpkin on polka dot dp and used the matching die to cut it out. The leaves were stamped on a scrap of moss and I added a few highlights by painting on a little bleach.

The left side was cut by hand and embossed w/ the pumpkin folder and a layer of plaid dp added. The sentiment was stamped on the 4.25 x 5.5 card front and I added three Faux Brads¬† in place of Chrissy’s buttons. All images are Our Daily Bread designs,
