Sequin Heart

Today’s Color Challenge (CC671) on Splitcoast is silver, red & white & dessert option is to make a Valentine. When I saw the color combo last night, I started thinking about big hearts & sequins & somewhere along the line it turned into “what if I fill the heart w/ sequins?” & that’s where I went with my card.
After I die cut the hearts, I started gluing down the sequins. I started w/ big red ones then added small red ones (& 1 silver) on top. Silver sequins were used on the small heart & I outlined both w/ a silver sharpie. The white linen bg was sponged w/ a couple of red Distress inks from the top down then to soften the blend, I sponged white Brilliance from the lower edge of the red upwards. That left a bit of a sheen that you see in the closeup. It was die cut twice & a metallic silver layer added in between. The little hearts below the greeting were filled w/ red stickles.

Here’s a look at the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

And here’s a sneak peek at some new images coming out very soon. I made this for the sketch (SC681) & ways to use it (WT672) challenges at Splitcoast.
