Full Gauge Valentine cu 05389
Weekly-Favorite
The Color Challenge(CC516) on Splitcoast today is Pink, White & Melon. I don’t have those exact colors, but I did have a sprayed, stenciled & sponged background leftover with a mix of colors that I hope comes close enough. The pieces you see are what I had left from a long ago project.
Full Gauge Valentine05385
The square cut outs down the side were already there (from an IO border die). I used a couple of stencils on my background then sprayed and sponged through the stencils. The gauge was die cut with a circle then the bottom section cut off and used on the right of the greeting w/ a little flower on top. I tell you, not much goes to waste on my craft desk.

The white background was embossed with some tiny little hearts and the heart on the gauge was paper pieced from a tiny section of the background. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you haven’t yet, you still have a few days to enter the DRS Thursday Challenge. This week, So Shapely! Just use 2 different shapes…that’s it! DRS images are not required and there’s a nice prize up for grabs.

It’s inspiration challenge day at SCS. I love it when we have rooms to choose from for our inspiration. I chose Room 31. Fortunately, I picked up this chandelier stamps (Heidi Swapp) this past week. I just love chandeliers.

What I did:the chandelier, greeting (Stampendous) and flower (Autumn Leaves) were black embossed on b.blue. Then I used the nestie rectangles to cut them out. The chandelier was a little tricky. I had to set the rectangle on top and mark so I could cut around area that would end up out of the box. Then I inserted the nestie rect. w/ the cut out parts on top.

For the white frames around my images, I placed the larger nestie rect. on the white c/s then place the next size smaller carefully inside and cut them. This leaves a nice embossed edge frame. I attached my images inside, added black & white dots and rhinestones to the chandelier and the flowers.

The bg was stamped w/ a large swirl like image (MM) and the white chalk ink. I used a smaller image from the same set and stamped in black. This is attached to a white card that the front was bugged using the textile folder.

Supplies:
Stamps: Heidi Swapp, Stampendous, Autumn Leaves, Making Memories
Ink: Versamagic cloud white, Clearsnap black pigment, Ancient Page coal
Accessories: black ep, Cuttlebug textile folder, Nestabilities rectangle set, white & black glaze pens, rhinestones, black marker
