I made this for Andrea’s DTGD Challenge on Splitcoast! Check out all the challenge details here: DTGD12AndreaEwen. For my vintagey card, I used images from several different clear sets. This scene is kind of my idea of what a Victorian parlor would look like. I started by stamping the lace (Crafty Secrets) down the side then added the two chairs (Recollections). I stamped bits of lace on scrap vanilla c/s and then stamped the chairs on top in order to paper piece the chair cushions. The little chandelier (Darcie’s) was added and the sentiment (Darcie’s) was die cut w/ Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles die and attached to a black labels 8. It looked a little blank between the chairs so I added a cut out little table (Crafty Secrets). Some pears, black & clear crystals,  some dots of Ranger black enamel accents and little bow topped it off. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a chance to play in the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges this week.Lots of fun, inspiration, chatter and PRIZES!

Karen Haman’s tha man! Better known as kthaman and she’s the Featured Stamper on Splitcoast (FS272)!

She has such a fabulous, extensive gallery and I couldn’t pick just one. So this first card is based on her Rain or Shine. I kept the layout but used a die cut, different sentiment and different colors. The sentiment is from Darcie’s Sparkle set. The chandelier is a Quickutz die. The sentiment panel and lampshades are made of white vellum and I added some score lines down the sides of the sentiment  and some embossed dots on the lampshades. The little candle flames were die cut in white and color added w/ markers. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

Supplies:

Stamps: Darcie’sSparkle set
Paper: Neenah white, sand, dp (Recollections), white vellum, black textured
Ink: Ancient Page coal
Accessories: Tombow markers, Cuttlebug Swiss dot embossing folder, Quickutz chandelier die, pink crystals, sheer black ribbon, Mini Bowdabra, Scorbuddy

My second card is based on Karen’s Rainbow Branches. I used a similar layout and kept the fabulous rainbow of colors, but used different images and added an embossing folder.

The images are all from DRS Designs.   I loved her rainbow colors so I colored all the candles differently then die cut the label (this image is also wonderful on the front of an envelope) using a resized Spellbinders rectangle die. I did the same for the orchid layer behind it as well as the sentiment tags inside the frame. The background was embossed with a big dot folder and I added three cut out candles at the bottom.

Supplies:

Stamps: DRS Designs – Birthday Candle Address Frame, Single Birthday Candle, So Many Candles
Paper: Neenah white, orchid
Ink: Ancient Page coal
Accessories: Tombow markers, Spellbinders rectangles & tag dies, Cuttlebug lg dot embossing folder (from the Welcome Baby combo set)
