I hope your Merry Month of May is off to a great start!
It’s the first Thursday and time for our Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge! Isn’t this a great picture from The Inglenook Decor? There’s so much going on here so I just picked an area and used it.
It’s pretty easy to see which area I chose. As I was digging through my card stock, I came across a piece of black c/s that I had sprayed with a pearlescent lacquer. It turned the black into a metallic gunmetal color that I really like so I embossed it with the Swiss dots folder and used it for my background. Next I cut three white squares and used three different border punches (all MS) around the edges and three embossing folders in the middle. One of them, I cut the center out and moved the punched edges in because it was just too big to fit.
I used a large monarch butterfly punch, a medium royal butterfly punch (both MS) and a tiny butterfly punch (ANM) and punched them out of charcoal gray and white c/s. The sentiment was cut w/ a Mega oval and the edges of it and the white butterflies were lightly sponged w/ pink and sunburst inks. I really liked the tiny touch of coral in the inspiration picture and I wanted to include it for a little extra punch. Everything was assembled onto a 4.25 x 5.5 (A2) white card and I glued on some faux pearls I made.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please stop by all of the Diva team blogs. I know they’ll have some wonderful things to show you. And we’d love for you to join in our challenge. Just link us up w/ your creation and if you upload to SCS, please put DDIC in your keywords.
