\nThis is Christmas card is as shiny as a bright new penny. It has so much shiny gold & sivler it’s almost blinding in real life. It will really catch your eye! Except for the stenciled & heat embossed background, it’s entirely die cut. All you need is 4 dies, a stencil & some silver & gold embossing powder. And some bright shiny mirror gold cardstock to make it come alive.<\/em><\/span>

\nIt’s my turn to host the Inspiration Challenge IC1031 & we are visiting West Elm & their Pinterest Boards. I was inspired by THIS<\/a><\/em><\/span> pillow. The pattern reminded me of this geometric tree stencil & the card just grew from there.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nI will mention this card is a little hard to photograph..the camera has hard time with all the mirror gold. To make my card, I started with a piece of vanilla card stock, placed the geometric tree stencil on top & used the detail blending brushes to apply the silver ink. Then it was embossed w\/ silver powder. The stencil was turned upside down & this process was repeated w\/ gold ink & gold powder. I like to use the same color ink as powder because to me, it gives a richer look. The best metallic ink I’ve found is the Encore Ultimate Metallic by Tsukineko. Then the outer frame & inner diamond frame were cut out of mirror gold w\/ the one piece die. \u00a0I used a couple of stitched squares to cut the diamond centers out of gold & ivory shimmer. The Merry Christmas was also cut out of gold & the shadow out of vanilla.
