\nToday I have a blue poinsettia card with gold accents. The colors for the poinsettia were picked to coordinate with the lovely blue and gold paper I used on the top of the card. The poinsettia was also gold embossed and it really catches the eye and wasn’t hard at all to make.<\/em><\/span>
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nIt’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge FS967, so a big congrats to Lee Mae! She has a lovely little gallery & I chose THIS<\/a><\/em><\/span> card to case. I kept the layout & paper on top w\/ the dividing strip & flower. But I used a poinsettia instead, different colors, a die cut greeting instead of a stamped one, & made mine a Christmas card.

\nTo make my card, I stamped the poinsettia twice w\/ lt blue ink, then colored both to match the paper I used. Then I stamped over them again using gold ink & heat embossed them w\/ gold powder. I did this because Copics don’t play well with embossing powder or pigment inks. After die cutting the poinsettias, I trimmed off the lower leaves on one to pop it up on top of the other. Some pine boughs were die cut out of blue & brushed gold as was the NOEL & its backing. An edge cut die was also cut out of this gold & attached over the border between the designer paper & the plain paper. The layers of the greeting were also popped up one more layer.
