\nWant a nice little visit to the tropics? Wouldn’t we all! In lieu of an actual visit, \u00a0I have a little virtual visit featuring a flamingo with attitude and some tropical greenery. And now you’ll hear Jimmy Buffett songs all day in your head. Bonus!<\/em><\/span>

\n It’s my turn to host the Inspiration Challenge IC1018 and we are visiting The French Tangerine & their Pinterest Board. THIS<\/a><\/em><\/span> deck of playing cards was my inspiration. I just happened to have a narrow piece of pink & white striped paper & some new dies to make my card.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nSince my left over piece of paper was only slightly wider than what you see, I die cut it w\/ the largest of the narrow rectangles & attached it to a large stitched rectangle. After die cutting all the greenery, I added a little more green ink to the lighter ones. I couldn’t find the exact shades of pink to go with the striped paper, but I did have some large paint chips. The flamingo was cut out of 3 shades from one large card, as well as the shells & crab. A little pink ink was added to them before I pieced the bird together. I die cut the netting out of white but only used a corner of it. \u00a0After dry fitting the pieces, I was able to determine where to stamp the greeting before attaching everything for good. The flamingo was popped up a layer & a little hibiscus was added to her.
