\nMy card today is a pretty floral inside an oval with a stenciled background. The stencil makes it easy to match your colors to any image you want to use. This would be great as a spring or Easter card for a dear friend, It’s not at all hard to make and the colors can be customized to your own liking.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span>
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nFor the Featured Stamper Challenge FS947, we are having a special remembrance of a dear member of Splitcoast who recently passed on. Polly was FS431 back in 2015 so today we are honoring her by selecting once again, from her gallery. I chose THIS<\/a><\/em><\/span> card to case. I kept the floral theme & stenciled background, but I used different images, dies, colors & stencil.

\nAfter coloring & die cutting the lovely Iris image & greeting, I die cut a large white oval, then used a smaller to cut out the inside to make a frame. I made a similar frame out of lavender & attached the white frame on top of it. Then both were attached to the inside portion of the oval. I popped up the iris just a bit in order to make it level w\/ the part that hangs over the frame. I did the same for the greeting, For the background, I used a 2 part stencil w\/ lg & sm circles & 3 colors of ink. I also cut a rectangular frame & popped it up before adding it on top of the background.

\nThese are the Copics I used on the iris: (here’s a coloring tip for you. \u00a0I used the G21 & G99 for the leaves & since they’re on the cooler side of green & I already had the Y02 out, I used it in areas of the lighter G21 on the leaves to bring them forward & add a little warmth to them. It’s also handy if you don’t have a lot of lighter YG colors.)
