\nToday, I have an all die cut seascape, complete with boats, houses, seagulls and a lighthouse on the hill overlooking water. This was a lot of fun to put together. I’m not usually a pastel person, but I like the sun drenched, sandy beach town vibes it gives.I’m not gonna lie, there are a lot of little pieces to put together, but it’s not hard & I love that you can customize all the parts using whatever colors you want.<\/em><\/span>

\nFor the Inspiration Challenge IC995, we are visiting Ruby Clay Co. & their Pinterest Board where I found THIS<\/a><\/em><\/span> picture to use for my inspiration. As a rule, I don’t make a lot of all pastel colored cards, but this site is all about pastels, so I chose the palest pink, sand, blue & turquoise I could find. I die cut the houses out of the pale turquoise, sand & white. The lighthouse out of pale pink & white & I cut the top only out of turquoise & another out of pink & cut them to fit the corresponding areas on my white base. For the top of the lighthouse & the piece behind the window, I used a gold gel pen to add that gilded touch. The background is a wave stained glass cover die & I pieced it w\/ the lt blue & sand colors to represent the shore & water. The sandy hill for the lighthouse was cut out of a textured sand color. I wanted it to be a little different from the shore.

\nI added a little gray to the white seagulls before attaching them near the sailboats.<\/span>
