\nToday, I have a Christmas card that was a lot of fun to make. Who doesn’t love a vintage red truck loaded with presents and a green Christmas tree? To give it a little more interest, I made a weathered sign background to put it on. This would look perfect hanging over a porch or outside a cute little Christmas shop.<\/em><\/span>
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nFor the Inspiration Challenge IC991, we are visiting The Tin Bin & their Pinterest Board. I was inspired by THIS<\/a><\/span><\/em> wonderful picture. I knew I had the perfect dies to use for the red truck & weathered sign.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nAfter die cutting the truck back (it also has a front view) & the new Christmas\/Fall truck add ons, I set about putting them all together. It’s actually pretty easy & I have a tip for you on doing this. The truck front\/back picture on the package is the actual size so put your pieces on top of the picture as you’re gluing them, & they will all be in the correct position. If you leave it inside the plastic package, any glue overrun can be easily wiped off. For the weathered sign, I used white for the inside but before die cutting it, I rubbed over the die (not the card stock) w\/ a hickory smoke oxide ink pad. Then I carefully placed it on the white card & die cut it. The frame part of the sign was cut out of Kraft. The greeting banner was die cut & I inked the two word greeting separately, first w\/ the red then w\/ the chianti, & stamped each half on the inside of the banner pieces. I used a pine green Copic on the tree to give it a little dimension.
