\nNovember is here and time to make some fun Thanksgiving cards. Today I have a colorful die cut turkey and an equally colorful, stenciled background. No one says paper turkeys have to be all brown, so I pieced in all kinds of fall colors for his tail feathers. Grab your inks, this fab new stencil and a handful of fall card stock colors.<\/em><\/span>

\n A big congrats to Joan, the newest Featured Stamper (FS926)! She has a terrific gallery & I chose THIS<\/a><\/span> card to case. I keep the funny turkey theme & most of the layout, but I used different dies, different papers & used a stenciled background instead of designer paper.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nI used mostly scraps for all the turkey parts & feathers. Good way to use them up! I did put a matching piece of card board behind the turkey body, attached the feathers, then put another piece of card board behind the turkey to sandwich the feather in between. He’s attached to a long rectangle of Kraft w\/ the greeting stamped at the bottom. For the background, I took a 4.25 x 5.50 piece of white card stock, taped the stencil on top of it, then started sponging. I started w\/ the lightest yellow on all the pumpkins\/gourds. Then added darker yellows to the gourds & darker oranges to the pumpkins. I finished the pumpkins w\/ a bit of red at the bottom. The big leaves were done the same way. The detail blending brushes make it really easy to just put color where you want it. The stenciled panel was die cut w\/ the largest stitched rectangle & attached to a slightly larger piece of rust then I put the cut off part of the stenciled background behind it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The kraft panel was also popped up a bit before attaching it to the front.<\/span>\"\"<\/a>
