\n<\/a>Today’s Sketch Challenge (SC561<\/a><\/strong>) on Splitcoast is a really easy one. I turned the sketch on its side & used the tree limb<\/a>\/bat <\/a>for the downward (or sideways, in my case) element.\u00a0<\/span>
\n\"Batty
\n<\/a>Since it’s an easy, wide open sketch, this is an easy, wide open card & except for the black layer, everything is on one layer. The background was made using the acrylic block technique<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>a mister & some Distress Inks. I did the purples & oranges separately so they wouldn’t blend too much & make mud. The paper is really lightweight water color paper (from the kids’ department..I like it because it’s smooth) & to speed it along, I dried w\/ a heat gun then ran it thru my Big Shot to flatten it. The silhouette images were all stamped w\/ Versafine & I used a white gel pen to add highlights. The moon<\/a> image was stamped on white, fussy cut & added on top & I used a white chalk marker to go around the edges of the panel before attaching it to a black mat.<\/span><\/p>\n
