\n<\/a>The CAS (clean & simple) Challenge (CAS270<\/a><\/strong>) today on Splitcoast is Stars. One of my first thoughts when I think of stars is the Stars & Stripes so that’s the direction I went. I used a couple of brand new images & dies from Our Daily Bread designs which will be released on May 1. I also combined a couple of previous releases…the sentiment in the lower right (from Some Gave All<\/a><\/strong>) and the patriotic heart (from Heart & Soul<\/a><\/strong>) and the Ornate Heart dies<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I started by die cutting the large heart on the white, then stamping both sentiments using a combination of the red & blue inks. I added a few more stars from the Some Gave All sentiment and then I had to add some red & blue splatter because apparently I can’t keep my inky mitts away from white space. But I like the splatter so all’s well that ends well. The patriotic heart was stamped using the same inks and die cut. The angel wings & star were all die cut.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
