It’s my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC892) this week and I chose Vintagraph.com & their Pinterest Board. THIS was my inspiration. I love vintage postcards and as a Texas native, this one really appealed to me.
My mini slimline card was made by first die cutting then sponging the ink colors onto the white panel. The words Greetings & from (2 different sets) were stamped in the upper left corner. The stitched letters, longhorn’s horns, the cowboy on horseback & hat were die cut from a thick calendar page. After I arranged the TEXAS where I wanted it, I placed semi-tacky piece of tape over them & lifted them up. Two more of each letter was die cut out of white & arranged to shadow the letters. Then I put glue on the back side, attached it to a piece of cobalt blue & hand trimmed around the the letter group. I used the same blue to cut the ground then attached the longhorn, hat & horse w/ cowboy.
All of the individual items were popped up a bit.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

A big congrats to Carol, the newest Featured Stamper (FS830) on Splitcoast! She has such a lovely gallery and I chose THIS card to case. I kept the layout and the wreath shape, but I used different images, dies, die cut the flowers of my wreath, centered my wreath and left off the ribbon.
For my sunflower wreath, i stamped the outlines parts of the sunflower set w/ black then inked the filler parts w/ yellow, amber & lt orange inks. I also stamped a bunch of leaves , then die cut everything. A large white stitched circle was popped up after stamping the Friend works, than all the flowers & leaves were arranged around it. The narrow black scallop frame was leftover from a previous project.
Some of the sunflowers were popped up & the rest were attached under, directly on the circle.

For the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge (IC891) we are visiting a Clocks Inspiration Pinterest Board where I found THIS beautiful clock.
My card started w/ this beautiful new floral paper from Rubbernecker. The lovely floral image was stamped and I used the coordinating stencils to sponge color onto the roses and leaves. I also used some Prismacolor pencils to enhance them a bit. I die cut a large white circle and a partial sage green one, then used the long edge of the stitched rectangle die to cut the across the top of the green part. After attaching them together, I stamped the greeting, popped up the flowers up & attached them on top.
For some added interest, I added some pearls in 3 sizes to the circle.
