This week, we’re working from a sketch.

The flipped version just seemed to fit better for my card. I’m featuring some fabulous Graphic 45 paper today. I love their paper so much, it’s really, really hard to cut into it!

I used the Debutante dp for the Art Nouveau image and the Communique for the ivory/wine patterned horizontal paper. A few fleur de lis die cuts were attached between the layers behind the lady. The top half round is a circle die cut and I used the Viva Pearl pen to add the gold pearls. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

And not to forget, my note book page. This time, it’s mostly just the paper swatches.

  • Baby Love

    Julie Warner - justwritedesigns - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com

Instead of a Valentine, I went with Baby card. There are several hearts on this fab Baby Collage, but I only ended up using one of them. There are so many wonderful images on this collage, you could use them as they are, or split them up like I did here.

    Julie Warner - justwritedesigns - https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com
I stamped most of the images on the collage a couple of times, colored them with my Tombow markers and cut them out. The bib, pins and pacifiers were strung on a length of Pepod twine with little bows tied on the ends. The other images were attached to a white panel I used two embossing folders on. Before attaching this to my 5.50 x 4.25 white card, I used four different colors of markers to edge it.  The sentiment was hand cut into a wavy banner shape and added a scap of the leftover (colored pink) behind it.

These are the markers I used on this card.

And my notebook with my left over scraps and color testing pieces.

  • Blue Sunflower

Since we’re doing (mostly) blue cards today, mine showcases this wonderful Sunflower image done in blues w/ a little coral for an accent color. I think I’ve said this before but I try not to let reality get in the way of how I color things. You’ll probably never see a sunflower this color in real life, but I like it! And because I love a good contrast, I paired the shades of blue w/ a nice corally-orange dot paper. A big scallop die was used on the bottom strips and the 2 shades of blue paper are actually the flip sides of one sheet of textured c/s. I used a pennant die for the sentiment, added a little twine bow and some beautiful little Swarovski crystals. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.

Here are the Tombow markers I used to color my sunflower and the ink I used to stamp the images. Julie Warner - justwritedesigns https://thewritestuff.justwritedesigns.com/

And last but not least, is my notebook page along with supplies I used. If you haven’t tried the Picksey Pick Ups, they are fabulous! Makes working w/ those little crystals an absolute breeze!
