I combined 2 Splitcoast challenges for this one: Technique (TLC595), to make a stamp selfie card; & Clean & Simple (CAS386), use sunshine.
Truthfully, lately I can’t get enough of these selfie cards, lol. I named mine Mack the Knife partly because of the shark & partly because my iPod was playing “Mack the Knife” when I started this card. Must be fate!
So Mack the shark was stamped, colored, masked & the beach scene stamped behind it & also colored. I added the die cut polaroid frame & added some die cut palms, a little camera & the circle cut greeting.
Here are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

A big congrats to Vickie, the newest Featured Stamper (FS493) on Splitcoast! She has a lovely gallery that I had fun browsing…but I kept coming back to THIS card. I loved the splash of blue water color w/ the boat image stamped on top. So I kept the water color & boat theme, but I also added a little green to the mix, used different images, turned mine vertically & added a few sequins.
To make my card, I sprinkled some Brushos water color crystals on one area of a piece of water color paper. I used the ultramarine, turquoise & a little sea green. Then I spritzed it w/ water and let it do its thing. When it dried, I put it in my Misti & stamped it (a couple of times) w/ Versafine. After stamping the greeting, I die cut it, attached it to slightly larger black layer then onto the card. I used a corner rounder on the lower edge of the card front.
Congrats again, Vickie! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today’s Clean & Simple Challenge (CAS385) on Splitcoast is Hit the Beach! I’m also borrowing an idea I used last week (polaroid frame) which happens to coincide w/ last week’s tutorial, Stamped Selfies. So…I have these cute pigs on vacay taking a selfie.
I die cut my “polaroid” frame, then cut a larger square out of white to go behind the frame. I figured by having the square already cut, I wouldn’t have to mask the frame. The vacationing pigs were stamped & I did mask them…but here’s a little tip..I’ve used these pigs before so I already had masks for them. When I cut a mask, I usually stamp the image a few times, line them up stacked on top of each other & cut them all at once. Then I save the masks in a little baggie w/ the images, so I can pull them out & use them when needed. Saves a lot of time in the long run. After masking them, I stamped the flamingo scene behind them & colored everything. The little glasses were die cut & I colored the white lenses w/ Copics to look like sunglasses.
Here are the Copics I used and below it is the inside.
