I used the lovely  Zinnia image for my card today. After stamping & coloring, I fussy cut the 3 flowers & leaves.  The black strip was die cut & the flowers arranged around & over it. I only used part of the original greeting…the You part was just too large to fit in the space. So to make the you die, I used part of the Rejoice die  & trimmed away the rest.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Next stop is Vickie’s Blog!  Please be sure to comment on all the DT Blogs..it will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!

The Prize – One $20 gift code will go to one random commenter from the blogs. So be sure  to visit all the blogs because you don’t know which one the winner will be drawn from. You have through Sunday Feb 11 to leave comments on the blogs for a chance to win. Mary will announce a winner on Feb 12 on her Blog. On the first & third Wednesdays of every month, we’ll be celebrating with a Blog Hop! The Special this month is the Judy’s Lg. Easter Basket stamp – 50% off!

My Easter card turned out different from the way I planned it. I had a lovely background I had die cut the Bunny out of & I was going to use the same iridescent white as the rest of the card to fill in the flowers. Then I decided I liked just the iridescent white bunny the best. So I’ll save the other bunny for another card. In case you’re wondering, this is the original bunny.

The Easter Basket was gold embossed onto the iridescent white c/s & I used a few Tombow (water based) markers to color in the eggs. I put a half circle window layer on top of the basket because w/ the bunny in front, it looked a little busy w/ the basket behind him. The top of the bow was fussy cut to allow it to be lifted above the top layer.
Here’s a look at the inside. The basket & a few flowers were stamped w/ Brilliance gold for a soft look. No greeting…I realized I don’t have an Easter greeting, so I’ll have to hand write it.

Today’s Color Challenge on Splitcoast (CC673) is a trio of soft colors I rarely use together..wisteria, sky & wasabi. This was the first image I had that came to mind to use w/ these. As you probably can tell from the name of the image, I left off the cheese part of the image so I wouldn’t have to worry about sneaking another color in there.

The image was stamped, masking the left side (w/ the cheese) & colored. I didn’t like the way the border looked so I die cut a double stitched frame & attached it on top. The wisteria layer & narrow frame were leftovers so I used them. I had to rearrange the greeting & leave out the “quick” part in order to fit it in.

Here are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check in tomorrow for Serendipity’s Feb #1 Blog Hop!
