Sisters 7978
This is for Gail’s Hope You Can Cling To challenges on Splitcoast (HYCCT1521), relationships matter! Mine features a sister greeting & since I only have 1 sister,  she’s pretty important to me! I also made sure to add some pink!

Since all the images I used are silhouette, I chose to do the “kissing” technique. All the images were inked w/ one color of chalk ink then another image was either inked w/ a darker color or not inked at all (the birdhouse) and pressed against the solid silhouette image before it was stamped.  The birdhouse was stamped twice in two colors, the roof was cut off one and attached on top of the other. The background was done the same way using the two sizes of flowers and the script image. I added a punched row of birds across the top and a multicolor fence across the bottom. The finished card measures 5.5 x 4.25.

Congrats to Michelle, today’s Featured Stamper (FS247) at Splitcoast! Wonderful gallery! I chose her Very Vintage to case. I kept the same vintage look and general layout, but turned it, used different image and dp and used a punch for the sentiment instead of the border punch.

All images are Innovative Stamp Creations . The ornament was stamped onto vanilla c/s using the bordeaux ink and again onto dp using black ink then the ribbon part was paper pieced onto the vanilla image. I cut a reverse mask of the ornament and stamped the stars and snowflakes inside using the merlot pigment ink then heat embossed using a red/gold glitter powder. The holly leaves were colored w/ a marker then the oval was cut using a Spellbinder’s die. I cut a larger oval and a narrow rectangle out of the same dp. A vanilla rectangle layer was also cut using a die.

The sentiment was stamped and a tag punch used to cut it out. A narrow layer of the dp was added and then it was attached to the image panels. A larger panel of the tree dp was added. The trees were a little too far apart for my layout, so I cut out a couple of the burgundy trees and moved them closer together.

Super sketch today at Splitcoast (SC355). For my Snowflakes & Pines card, I’ve used images from Innovative Stamp Creations  Festive Season.  The pines were white embossed onto dk loden green c/s then cut w/ a Spellbinders label die. A larger mat of ivory was cut w/ a larger die from the set. They’re attached to a square of dp, an ivory mat, loden mat and an ivory card.

The sentiment was stamped w/ olive ink and cut w/ a nestie ribbon tag die. Ribbon was inserted through the tag and snowflakes were cut out and attached on top. Holly leaves and more snowflakes were stamped and cut out and branches were punched and all were attached around the top of the tag. Stickles was added on these as well as the trees. A few snowflakes were punched and added to the upper right corner.
