It’s my turn to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge & I chose Caron’s Beach House as the site. It has sooo many wonderful beach decor items! And since it’s pretty close to summer, I thought it would be perfect. THIS was the item that inspired my card.
To make my beach clock, I die cut the circles & on the smaller one, stamped & colored the chair & umbrella. The sandals, seagull & sailboat were drawn in w/ a multiliner pen & the bg was colored in. I inked the woodgrain bg w/ London fog & stamped off once before stamping across the scene, then I used a gray Copic to accentuate the board lines. The die cut numbers & clock hands were added on top. For the greeting, I stamped part of it & die cut the beach part. I had to die cut a few different words from the set then cut & paste them together.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Weekly-Favorite
Today we are taking another look at the Our Daily Bread designs November release! Don’t you love those fabulous stars images & dies? And the paper collections are beautiful! I used a medley of images & dies from this release and previous releases…I love to mix it up!

Considering the number of image sets & dies I used, I’m surprised it looks as clean as it does, lol. These images just seemed to say “emboss me” so I used some pearly metallic blue powder on the star, snowflakes & greeting and a silver detail powder on the clock because I didn’t want the clock quite as prominent as the snowflake star centerpiece.

I used the Ornament circle & Matting circle dies to die cut the clock and the two circles in the white & shimmer navy layers. The beautiful silver & white dp was die cut using the largest outer rectangle from the Flourished Star Pattern die. I love how it leaves the pretty pierced edge. The snowflakes were fussy cut after heat embossing and the greeting was die cut. Add a different greeting and I think this would make a wonderful New Year’s card, too!

Happy Easter Sunday!

I hope you are enjoying the day. Congrats to Theresa, today’s Featured Stamper at Spiltcoast! What a wonderful gallery to stroll through! I picked her Timeless Treasures to case. I kept the same general color palette and time theme, but changed the images, added distressed edges and some cut out or torn layers.

The images are all from Innovative Stamp Creations. I stamped the watch gears several times on different papers, cut them out using stamp edge scissors and added rust colored mats.  I stamped the same gears collage image onto the ledger paper in order to have the swirls from the image show. I tore the edge and further distressed it w/ scissors and ink. , then attached my cut out gears.

After stamping the watch image with green ink, I stamped the greeting over it with sepia ink then cut it out and matted it. A clear round acrylic piece was glued on top. It reminded me of a watch crystal so I thought it fit in perfectly. The little chipboard catch was colored with ink then the discover word was stamped over it and a brad was added in the hole.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
