This is my combo for today’s WT and yesterday’s sketch at SCS. For the sketch, I turned it and cut my image out instead of leaving it in the rectangle. For the WT, I did a wax paper resist. It may be a little hard to see here, but I used my Scor-it to score diagonal radiating lines from the upper left corner, then I ironed it onto white c/s. I did a bunch of the bg pieces using different CB folders, but decided I liked this one for this image. I know you’re supposed to use the brayer to add the ink over the resist, but I got tired of having to clean it off for each color change, so for this one, I just did most of it DTP (direct to paper) and added some more color w/ a little sponging.
For the frame, I used two nestie squares, one inside the other. I added a piece of vellum behind it and the cross is attached on top. The flower border is also on vellum, colored on the back, cut out and attached. The He is Risen was stamped in a line down a piece of white paper, colored w/ a marker and attached behind the vellum.
A few square brads were added in the lower right corner. TFL
