Monster Love

I made this really bright, neon pink & blue Valentine for a couple of Splitcoast challenges…the Sketch (SC630) & the Clean & Simple (CAS414). The CAS challenge theme was Peek a Boo & that’s why my little monster is coming thru the heart opening. I started to try & work in the Color Challenge, too, but I already had this cutie colored & die cut & no way was he even close to right colors.

I already knew I wanted this to be a Valentine so I used the Monster Love greeting & had the smiley monster coming out of a heart shaped opening in a much larger heart. To have the greeting & stripe hearts show up on the blue, I heat embossed them using a bright magenta powder.

Behind the lg neon pink heart, I attached a heart cut out of thin foam to elevate it a bit. I also added a piece of white behind the monster so he wouldn’t fade into the blue of the bg.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is so fun. Love your little monster guys, especially popping through the heart! Great color combo too!

  2. Beautiful colour combination. I have yet to master your talent of decorating inside the card. Very cute work.
