What fun..I’ve been invited to be a Guest Designer on the Splitcoast Color Challenge for the month of April! This is my second guest spot for this challenge & I know it’s going to be a blast! The colors for this week’s challenge (CC577), are pink, mossy green & pool. Since I don’t have the exact colors, I came as close as I could. The dessert for this challenge is animals. I hope stuffed animals count!

For my card,  I put the cute Teddy Friends into my Misti, stamped them w/ Memento, colored them  w/ Copics the over stamped w/ Versafine. I wanted them to be in sort of a window, so I did a little out of the box technique when I die cut them w/ one of the matting basics. The larger mossy colored layer was first die cut w/ a larger matting basic die then I used the IO grid die to cut the right side & lower edges. Since the die is a bit longer than my panel, I had to cut to the mid point, turn it around, move the die down then cut the opposite edge I added the pool layer behind the grid & added some of the die cut squares back into the grid in a random pattern. The Get Well was die cut once in pink & once in green & stacked offset.

Here’s a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

  1. What a beautiful card Julie! Love these Teddy Friends with their little sweaters! Loved the little “soon” stamped with the Get Well die.

  2. I don’t know how I missed this beauty. I know I get 110 emails within 24 hrs and sometimes I delete when I get up to 300 of them, but I always try to capture your posts because I truly love your work Julie. Found this on Pinterest and without looking at who did it, I knew it was yours. I always recognize your style/cards before I look at the name. Anyhow, onto this card. Congratulations on being featured. So happy for you. This card totally rocks with the colour scheme.
