The sketch today on Splitcoast (SC455) was a bit challenging for me. I just have a hard time tilting things when the rest of the card is level. The tilt of the one thing makes it look crooked to me. Maybe I’ll just make it all tilted next time so it won’t look off.

Anyway, I colored this pretty holly wreath w/ Copics then did an out of the box technique using a square die. I used the next larger square to cut the dk red layer behind it and a large corner die for the titled layer. The large green layer is dp and the narrower green layer is a piece I made while doing the No Gel Plate, No Problem tutorial. I used a scallop border die on the bottom of it and attached a leafy flourish on top. The greeting was stamped directly on the 4.25 x 5.50 card front and these are the Copics I used.

One Response to “Christmas Holly Wreath”

  • Pat Jandacek:

It’s tilted enough to know it’s intentional and not a mistake. The card is lovely and the painting of the wreath is really beautiful.
