Welcome to the “FireCracker Designs Goes Outdoors” Blog Hop!!
This is a “circular blog hop†where the only beginning is wherever you start!! You will know you have reached the end of your blog hop when you’ve come back to the blog where you started! (It’s not a huge circle…so it should be easy to remember where you started.)
The winner will be chosen from a mystery blog hostess that we don’t even know who it will be until the hop is over…so that’s why you need to leave a comment on EVERY blog to qualify! This hop will continue through Tuesday June 30.
For my card, I used a new set, Scenic Byways, for most of the images inside the oval plus a few from Create a Scene. I added the tree and cattails from the Joy of Nature set on the outside.
Except for the dimensional tree and cattails on the outside of the oval, everything was masked and stamped on the one layer of white c/s. To create the oval mask, I used the largest oval Nestie from the Petite Oval Large set and die cut the oval in a sheet of copy paper.
I placed the mask in the center of my c/s and began stamping and masking (where needed) my scene. The color was sponged on using torn paper masks for the hills and straight masks for the water. I started w/ the lightest colors first, then gradually added the darker colors. After I finished, I removed the oval mask, stamped the tree at right (to get the water lines on the white area) and attached my colored (w/ markers) and cut out tree and cattails. The sentiment was added and I also added some white highlights w/ a white gel pen.
The panel was edged w/ a black marker then attached to a textured coral layer, then a thin black mat. I attached the layers w/ foam tape to the front of a 5″ x 6.5″ white card.

To continue the circle, you will need to hop on over to Pamela’s Blog and keep going until you’ve come back to where you’ve started!
